FAQs
Can I have a trial flight before joining?
We encourage you to come and meet us before joining. We are happy to give you a free trial flight or two before you commit to joining.
Do you offer flight training?
We are happy to provide training for novice flyers. This is done on a voluntary basis by a number of our members. Access is usually available to ‘buddy box’ capable models to start your journey. We gladly offer advice on the right model for your first plane and can assist with maiden flights and subsequent training using your own plane.
When can I fly?
There are no formal restrictions on when you can fly. We ask that you avoid unsocial hours especially when flying noiser models. We strongly recommend that you don’t fly on your own in case of emergency. Our WhatsApp groups can be used to arrange flying companions.
